For Screen Printing
Camera-ready art is any artwork or printed material with very
high black and white contrast which needs no further touch-up,
design or rearranging before using as copy. All elements must
be set in the correct size.
Submitting correct artwork will ensure
the quality of the imprint along with no delays in production.
If any of the following are submitted
for artwork, an additional artwork charge will be applicable:
1. Photo copies. Most office machine
copies require touch-up.
2. Business cards with raised letters. Raised letters
have a tendency to appear ragged when photographically reproduced.
3. Newspaper clipping. When the newspaper is placed on
the camera to have the proper film made, the image on the reverse
side will appear on the film.
4. Shiny surfaces.
5. Imprinted items. Process blue & metallics will not
reproduce.
6. Halftones. Everything finer than 55 dot (approx. 1/32"
in diameter).
Hints:
Do not use paper clips, tape, or staples on any artwork. If we
have to patch holes, tears, or indentations, an additional artwork
charge would apply.

For Embroidery
Your logo has to be digitized if:
1. The lettering is a font that is not available in our
embroidery software.
2. It includes a graphic, other than some generic designs
available "off the shelf".
Digitizing
is plotting the stitches in the design and creating a file that
directs the embroidery machine to embroider any text or logo.
This enables each embroidered garment to be identical within
the run. Once this disc is made, it is always kept on file, and
would be used on any subsequent runs of the same design.
The size of the file is of some concern.
If a left chest logo were made to the size of 2" tall x
3 1/2" wide, for example, the same disc could also be used
for caps. This would eliminate the need for the digitizing expense
if caps were to be ordered later. However, we cannot enlarge
the design more than 10% to fit the front of an apron or T-shirt,
etc. (This "digitized" design disc is not to be confused
with a floppy disc containing art. Art is a picture only, and
does not include a stitch file.)
Your logo should be sent in original format,
via e-mail, and should be in color. Unlike screenprinting, the
number of colors (within reason) does not increase the cost of
embroidery. Embroidery costs are based on the number of stitches
in the design.
When sending your art, remember, your logo
will only look as good as what you send. Please don't ask us
to download art off of your website, especially if it has any
degree of detail. This is low-resolution art only, designed for
display on your monitor and was never intended as print art.
